Just asking...

my friend told me that 4T oil can be replaced by car engine oil...

my question is...
- is it will harm the bike?

from what I know, the bike 4T oil are formulated to protect engine as well as the gear box, clucth etc... but car engine oil just for the engine...

any comments?????

As long as there aren't any 'friction modifiers' in the car oil it should work great in the bike. I mean, dino oil is dino oil. I run castrol semi-synthetic 20W-50 in my 500R, runs great. Although this isn't a 100% thing, but don't buy car oil with a little 'energy conserving' on the circle on the front of the bottle. That is pretty much a BIG hint that it has friction modifiers and will cause your clutch to slip. Now just because it doesn't say that doesn't mean you can't pick one that has friction modifiers.

The only way to find out is to try out some auto oil and see how well it all runs, most likely you'll be surprised on how well it really does.
