I'm thinking of buying a set of Metzler ME 880 Marathon tires for my 2004 800a. On the rear tire Metzler has an upgrade tire ; a 150/80HB16 in place of the 140/90HB16. I have two questions. Does anyone know if the larger tire will cause any rubbing? How good are these tires? All comments will be appreciated.

My wife has ME 880's on her 800. They have 10,000+ miles on them and show no wear. We run 880's on all our bikes. They are by far the best all-around tire we have found. The 880's on my 1600 have about 11,000 on them with little wear. We ride alot, 20,000+ per year and would use nothing else.

The Metzler 150 tire will not rub at all on the vn800. I lowered the rear 2 1/2" and never had a problem with it.
