OK I have 02 Drifter with that big beautiful plastic chrome headlight can.
It looks great but man it rattles so mach it makes me crazy. Does anyone else have this problem? And have you been able to solve it? One option is different pipes to drown it out.

re

the 1600's do it too-just open the bucket up and tie-rap or tape the wires inside down
that should take of it

I found the metal visors on my headlight would buzz at lo rpms and what I did was

open the headlight and put a rubber band around the inside groove.

Then put the headlight back. its a little snug but takes the buzz away.

Well I wasn't able to come up with a rubber band big enough to wrap the haedlight, So I picked up some corded weather stripping this is almost playdough like material I rolled it thin and placed it in a few places. It did make a bit of a mess but WD-40 sprayed on a rag clean it off.
The rattle is gone and man what a joy to not hear that. Maybe the factory could produce a cork gasket for future models. Thanks for the excellent thoughts. Bob

I love this forum!!!

I'm going to try the tapeing and the pipe insulation. I just happen to have a hunk of that in the basement.

I had a rattle in one of my lightbar lights and took black electical tape, cut it length-wise to get the right width, and then wrapped that around the housing and then snapped the lens assembly on. That did it. It was a bit snug, but I got it on and it's totally covered when the lens assembly is snapped back on.

Noisy headlight

I had a 2003 meanstreak with the same problem. Been there and fixed it. Remove the light and get some 1/8" refrigeration foam tape and line the inside of the housing. The noise comes from the wire connectors hitting the housing. I even wrapped the connectors.
