Well, I think I fixed it. I think something got stuck in the switch spring (not sure of the technical term). All I did was feel around that spring, and now it doesn't stick. Might have had a piece of junk in there.
the brake light switch is adjustable. kind of a pain if ya dont take the forward controls off. but pop those two bolts off holding your peg and brake arm plate. you can twist the plastic housing just like a bolt to adjust how quick it engages the brake light. and sometimes those switches just get sticky. a little shot of electrical parts cleaner or electrical parts lubricant should help too.
