Im trying to get the rim off my 96 zx6e to get a new tire...but i cant get the chain loosened. I loosened the axle nut, both rear chain tensioners, and the bolts on top of the rear of the swing arm on both sides. I still can get any play in the chain! Im guessing there's something Im missing..?
Help would be nice

I'm not near my bike so I don't remember off the top of my head but are you sure you're supposed to loosen the chain adjusters? For some reason I'm remembering they're backwards to what logic would tell you.

If no matter how much I loosened them I still had a tight chain I'd tighten them to see if it did anything.

It sounds like you've loosened everything that you should have to in order to slide it forward enough to get the chain off and then pull the axle out. I think on that bike all you have to do is loosen the axle, slack up the tensioners and that should be about it. You might take a block of wood and tap the axle forward to get enough slack to work the chain off.

You might also see if there is something specific at zx6e.net
