I just joined this forum and I just bought a 99 Nomad. Beautiful bike, showroom condition. After riding only 46 miles on it so far, I invision many future "sick-days" at my current place of employment.
I was reading the "MOM" and I noticed that Kawasaki's recommended maximum load for the 99 Nomad is 408 lbs. Now I'm about 6' 1" at 270 lbs. and with my wife on two-up riding, we already exceed the 408 restriction.
Is this a conservative number by Kawasaki, or will my Nomad blow on pound 409? It is hard to believe a cruiser of this size and suspension setting cannot handle additional weight.
