Relocating foot pegs on 2008 250r?

Does anyone know if you can move the foot pegs on the new 250r? I sat on it at the bike show and my knees go way past the curve in the tank.

I like the bike but if I don't fit on it properly I'm not going to buy it.

It's a fairly major task to move 'em by my standards. Can you just kinda slide your backside further back on the seat?
How tall are you?
I'm only 6'1. I did try sliding all the way back, that's the problem.
You must have long legs. The problem with peg relocation on a sports profile is that there really isn't anywhere much to put 'em which will solve your problem.
They're not like cruisers where you can really push footpegs forward for example.
Have you ridden much? Maybe you need to sit on quite a few more bikes 'til you find one that's comfortable?
Big bike fixes that...For such a task you either suck it up and learn on that bike or get on a larger bike. If there are adjustable rearsets you can adjust them to your needs but do not expect super monumental adjustment. Just being honest.
I have no idea if they are adjustable, but probably not. IMO, I wish all bikes came with some semblance of adjustability in regards to the rearsets. A few extra holes to move the pegs around a bit can certainly be a nice feature on a sport bike.

+1 to that! Try sitting on a 650R instead. At 6'1" you're just too tall for that little 250R. I wouldn't even recommend the 500R because even though I've read plenty of threads where people that are your heighth say that they do fine, they admit that they do get cramped during long rides. The 650R sits a little higher than the 500R which is why I think that it might be just tall enough for you to feel comfortable sitting on.
