I was going to replace the springs, but the owner of a shop I hang out at told me that I could get by with just changing the friction plates, worked for me, pulls good and hard again. They must have been slipping for a while because she feels alot quicker now than ever before. If you don't like waiting on orders from the internet, $80.00 seems to be the going rate even at the bike shops. Ya get the part usually within 48hrs and no shipping or looking for the brown van.

******,

 Yea to bad Delmarva Power Sports is the only shop remotly close.
Them (excuse my french) assholes take 2 weeks to get parts in and they charge a shipping fee.
So i basically stop dealing with them.
I can get my parts from bikebandit which is located in california and it reaches me on the eastcoast in 3 days.
I put in order for cluth disc/springs and pressure plates i figured while im in there i might as well gohead and do them to. Thanks again for your replys and help.

QUESTION//REMINDER???

QUESTION AND REMINDER??? Aren't the clutch plates directional, and isn't it advised to soak them well in oil before installing them? I'm olny asking/reminding because my Brand "Y" 250 two stroke required it...

Thought so

I thought so, but I don't want to let everyone know how ignorant I am...nice to have some back up, point of confusion cleared before someone has to buy more plates because they just didn't know!!!

NICE!

Yeah, I think it's better to hear it twice perhaps (how many membrs are there?) than just assume that someone knows...it's great with this many people watching your back! Thank you for the response, confirmation...now I too, know for sure!

Yeah, good reminder zx-2r, soaking them is highly recomended. And Jason you will be very surprised on the power after driving on a slipping clutch for awhile.
