There's nothing in the service manual other than, if it don't work replace it. Also, I do not see any parts break-down for the switch, since it is replaced as a one piece unit. I don't think that it would have any lubricant since it is a plastic part other than s touch of grease on a slide; but I figure that there is an internal spring that moves it. If so, maybe it got out of alignment. The only way to tell would be to take it apart. Not much help from me or the manual unless you are supposed to smack it with the manual!

Had that problem. Took it to the dealer, they did something and it was better for a day or two. Took it apart myself... cleaned it, added some lube they used to use for VCR gears, all good now.
