I am struggling to find the size of the fork tubes on my 82 Gpz750. I measure them at 35mm but I am seeing 34 and 36MM also being quoted. I want to put on a set of clip-ons and want to make sure I buy the right size. Any help is appreciated.

80-82 750 fours have 36mm fork tubes.
83-85 GPz750 has 37mm fork tubes.
I can't tell you for certain what year it was, but I had a GPz550 front end on a 82 KZ750 frame, and it was 35mm. I think it was 83.

KZ650 1977 till at least 81 have 36mm fork tubes.
KZ750 twin 76-80 have 36mm fork tubes.
KZ1000 77-80 have 36mm fork tubes
KZ1000 81-82 have 38mm fork tubes.

I'm done :)

My GPz 750 -83 has a front fork that I thought were from a 1982 GPz 750, but I´m not sure anymore since the tube size differs. But there is no anti-dive and the fork seals for a GPz 750 -83 won´t fit..

Is there bikes that were built with parts from both years? Doesn´t feel like something kawasaki would do.. maybe Ural.
