I had to drill holes in the bodywork of my friends 2002 CBR 600 to get the sliders to fit. It's not nearly as scary as it sounds. All you really need is a hole saw, and if you really want it to look clean a rubber or chrome ring of the same size(can probably find something that will work at a hardware store). A word of warning though - Measure twice(at the very least) and cut once.
