Hello, when I first got my '82 KZ750 N1 Spectre, the self-cancelling would not work until after several turns. After making several turns, it would work fine. My manual says it is either the turn switch, the control unit, or the distance sensor which is in the speedometer. Thinking it was the control unit, I bought a couple of used ones. One of them had the same part #, but did'nt even have the same amount of wires. The other works the same as the original. My next guess would be the turn switch. I tried spraying a little lubricant inside, but that just made the button really hard to push. After a while it became a little easier, but it should probably be even easier to push if it has to move back by itself. Please give me some input.

The test procedures should be in your manual so I'm not really sure what else you would need to know.

P.S. If it's working intermittently I would suspect the problem is a dirty/loose connection in the wiring or a problem with the switch sticking.
