Speedo

When I bought my bike, the speedo cable was missing, only the cable housing was there. So I bought a new cable installed it, it worked.

Until yesterday. Check it, the internal broke after 180 KM.

I'm not sure that the brake bracket is OEM because the speedo cable has to be bent a bit to go in (hence most probably the issue I'm having).

Can someone tell me if my brake bracket is the original one. If so, how should the speedo cable go? If runs just underneath the bracket and thus cannot do otherwise than bend more or less sharply.

If need be, could I make a notch in the bracket safely?

Take the axle out and drop the wheel. That speedo housing is rotated out of position. There is a tab on the housing that holds it in position. When you reassemble it should be at 4-5 o'clock instead of the 9-10 o'clock it's at now.
