starter removal

on 2007 kawasaki mule 610 how do i remove the starter it looks as there is a torque converter in the way and a shock do i have to remove the converter all suggestions and help would be appreciated

Remove the following:

Negative ground cable from battery.

Torque converter cover, both clutches and the belt, and the case.

The engine and transmission connecting bolts and the connecting plate that holds them together.

The governor cover, and then the transmission shift lever from the splined shaft on the transmission. You can leave the cable connected to the lever.

The end bracket bolt on the back of the starter.

The starter motor power lead and the other wire connected to the starter.

The hose that crosses behind the starter.

The two bolts that hold the starter drive end to the engine.

Then the starter pulls right out.
