I’ve got a wrecked steering assembly and I’m trying to replace it. Does anyone know if all 4 bolts holding it on are T8? I only had one T8 and three regular headed bolts. The two on the driver side bracket are so large that in can’t even get a socket over the bolts. There was also an extra plate bolted onto the back side of that same bracket, accessible only from the cabin side. I’m assuming the previous owner jimmy rigged this crap but I wanted to make sure it wasn’t factory and I’m not just missing the obvious way to remove it.

Have you tried looking at the parts diagrams on Partzilla? Often they have photos of the hardware. Also the bolt spec is identified in the parts listing. If no joy, then with the part number in hand search on google for photos of bolt part number.

I suspect you are correct and it has been "fixed" by a previous owner.

I think a 12 point socket or a thin wall socket will fit on that bolt. Impact sockets are too thick.
