i got a 96 zx6e and when im in 6th gear doing 70mph, im at about 6800rpm's, that seems kind of high, just wondering if i could have some aftermarket sprockets, and was wondering if someone could tell me how many teeth there are on the front and rear, stock... thanks

I haven't checked lately, but that seems just a bit high. I probably won't be able to ride mine to let you know for awhile though cause the weather here sucks.

well i want to count the teeth on the front and rear, but dont know what to compare it to... i dont know the stock ammount of teeth

front should probably be 15... but that rpm is WAY too high you should probably be closer to 5k. unles the bikes got a top speed of 130ish

well ive had it up to about 130, and its at about 12k, give or take


im having a real hard time finding a website that could tell me the stock ammount of teeth in the front, and rear... anyone got a zx6 that they could do a quick count on for me? :grin:

Frnt sprocket stock is 16 teeth, and rear stock is 48 teeth on a '96 zx6E. Hope that helps.

well i counted the teeth, and i got 14/48, so i figure that it has had 2 teeth droped in the front... that would explain why it pulls so hard in every gear, yet im only in a gear for a second at a time LOL.....
