Bike: 2000 VN800C Drifter

Here's the deal; twice in the last month my throttle stuck so I lubed both the throttle and decel cable. Now I actually had the bike accelerate on me, so I'm thinking it's not a sticking cable. Looking back on the incidents, they all happened on right turns, so I'm planning on pulling the tank this weekend to check cable routing.

Does anyone have any other ideas? I won't ride again till I feel comfortable that the problem is fixed.

BTW the bike has less than 11K miles on it.

If it only does it when the bars are turned to the right then I think you are on track with the problem already. Sounds like the cable getting pulled on during the right turn.
