I just swapped motors in my 94 ZX-6E. I put in a 2003 ZZR600 motor. Now, at first everything sounded OK but after a test ride, it makes a squealing/squeaking type noise when idling. Any ideas? Thanks.

you have oil in the bike right ? (not trying to be an a-hole)
might be a very slight vacumn leak somewhere.

Yeah, it has plenty of oil. It's weird, it sounds almost like a belt squeal but obviously that's not the case. What kinds of noises would an exhaust leak at the manifold make?

I'm thinking that I might not have tightened the exhaust into the head properly. I'm going to try and tighten it up properly and check again. Does anyone have pics on how the exhaust connection to the head should look when properly tightened on there? Thanks.

The noise is in the engine or one of its accessories. It happens even in neutral when completely stopped.
