thank you steell good info....you got me in height. but not in years...only 5'9 which is a little short.. have to stretch in all deparments...i''ll have to try and see one. or sit on one i guess again thanks....
much thanks mike... it cant get much better then that..what i see is i need a little more rise and pull back..these are more like drag bars.. i'm up in age this will definatly be to much strain on me.. thank you mike.. all this info helps me....
re apes

thank you herk... i could'nt think of a better word to describe my bars mini apes..anyway yours are not that bad they look like i could handle them what year and model are they from...r....
re bars

Herk your rear tire looks big/wide in the pic. Is it an optical illusion or over sized?

P.S. Risen1, I find the slight forward lean very comfortable and even more so when at highway speeds. My arms would get tired on long rides because of the constant pull to hold myself forward while the wind was trying to push me backwards. And as you know, the arms are bent, with the elbows down and inward with the mini apehangers. With my arms straight and the slight lean, all it takes is holding on to the grips which is much more comfortable.
mike your right on the money with that...my problem is circulation with my arms constantly trying to hold on i wear out fast pushing 69 is a handfull also that bike of yours should be a keeper for a long time you wont find one that nice unless you do another one its a beauty another question i bought on ebay a oil cooler from a 750 kawa gtx not sure of the letters but its a factory one with the lines trouble is instructions to hook up the ends to the motor wasent included and i'm missing something on the motor because the ends have like a flange with 2 holes but wont line up to anything with 2 holes anywere on the motor what do you think?
i kind of thought that ..changing the pan was the only thing i could see being the line went rite next to it the other line looks like it goes to a test hole on the bottom af another cover like on a 650 i seen in a picture anyway it goes on my stock pile till i come across the rest of it...thanks mike..
no that is a direct hole for a hose mine has 2 holes about 2 inches apart with i think o rings on them ....its on a metel tube with the hose about 3 inches up .. same way as where the cooler line on the top are
now that remember it was from a turbo mike....maybe thats why the fitting are different ....
thats the hook up mike just like that but that pan dosent look like mine at all....
from what i've seen the hook uo for a 650 would match mine probrerly a oil pan from a 650 will have it i know on the other side it shows the hose going to under where the point cover is..
i have seen a couple of 650s with oil coolers dont know if they came with them one was a lock hart and the other looked like a original at least the lines did but you might be right they could have put them on
hey mike i see you were a navy vet...serch and rescue...i bet your proud about that experence...you must have seen some senarios.../.
mike... i took a chance on putting the correct amount of fork oil in after changing mine i couldnt measure how much came out because i lost some ...i can always add to it i guess... how much in ounces does each tube hold...1980 750-h ltd thank you...r....
its because of guys like you we can enjoy our lifes in america i say prayers every sunday for all kinds of service men like you... thank you joe locke
gotcha steell thank you ...i have a manuel but only mensions what grade and year no mension of how much..anyway i put in 8 o/z plus air it seems ok on the road as far as the pan that would take care of the left side now about the right side hose?...r...i just received a message from redline cycles....they say dry-280cc and oil change -260cc.... so i'm a a couple of ounces off .....better lower then higher... again thanks steell.... all replys are appreciated
mr h... i found yours where you told me to look at flanders trouble is there over my price limit but for sure they are good ones for me i thank you for the re...i found a set on ebay there off a 1980 1000-ltd which are similar to your measurements if there not rite... i'm only out 30 bucks....
