Myself and Aikata went on an awesome ride this morning.

We headed up to Canyon Lake/Tortilla Flats (for those from Arizona).
Its about a 14mile, 10-30 mph, narrow, 2 lane twisty road.........
I have not been on this road and this is only my 4th or 5th time on this type of road on my Ninja. I actually did pretty good. I used the techniques that work best for me in those tight corners but also used the "look and turn" techniques as well.

I did however over shot a couple of corners and put on the breaks, that pumped up my heart a little!! But all in all I think I did pretty good and I seem to be more confident and pushing myslef as I ride more.

Thank you Aikata for a nice morning, and I look forward to another ride.
Oh and by the way all...Aikata is an excellent rider, and don't ever underestimate the power of a Ninja 250!!!

Cool! I know people who won't ride that hwy 88 even in a car , especially beyond Tortilla Flat. You have to be wary of the cars & pickups coming at you on that road..they like to take their 1/2 of the road right out of the middle

It's cool when you start feeling your skills develop. I was feeling that way today myself taking some quick little turns, faster and more lean than I used to. I have got to find some people here to ride with...I get bored by myself. Hmm...looks like I am gonna have to head out to AZ lol
I noticed that I was leaning more into the curves too, just push a little more every time.
WE would love to have you here!!

I've noticed in the last 4 or 5 months or so that I've been getting as fast and faster than most of the fastest guys out here. I think they all spend too much time doing stunts and too little time learning how to ride the twisties (what little we have).

Glad you had a good and safe time. I told you it was a nice ride. Nice that Aikata got you out there.

Try the run to the top of South Mountain one time. Not as long, but definately more spooky.

I've done it in a car all the way out to Globe/Miami and then back on 60. Too bad it's not paved, it would be a fantastic bike ride. :)

Maybe I need a dirt bike too.
