This is probably a stupid question..and I know I should wait until my bike gets here from Miami but I want to know from your perspective what the sound of a Vulcan 500 LTD is like.

For sure I know its not like a HD or the bigger bikes but I need to know or I will go out of my mind... :roll:

Some people have said it sounds like a Porsche etc..
What about a police bike... does it sound like one?

Can someone let me know...?

with the stock pipes on it -it will be pretty quiet but you can change that :twisted:
doubt if it will sound like a police bike as those are usually bigger bikes.
chances are your gonna re-pipe sooner or later anyway so the stock sound prolly won't last long :lol: -there should be some other 500's around down there you can hear or maybe 750's
bottom line is you can make it as loud/quiet as you want it :wink: just be aware that opening up the exhaust too much (drag pipes) you may lose some performance :wink:

500 Ltd sound

I just got my Vulcan 500 Ltd. It's fairly quiet and I'll probably leave it that way. My husband just put Vance & Hines pipes on his 750 & is making enuf racket for 5 bikes!
You'll love your 500. It's so nice to turn the throttle & have her take off!
