lovebugs are a scurge on the south/southeast USA. They are ugly black bugs with oragne heads that come out twice a year to mate and fly around in this state. Driving becomes terrible as they are everywhere and splatter all over you car let alone a bike rider. Scientists have made discoveries that they provide no benefit to the eco system. Birds don't eat them, other bugs don't eat them....other than having acidic guts that eats the paint off of cars and bikes....they are useless

yes ken or roadside pressure wash car wash establishments. I can recall one fall driving from Morgan City, Louisiana to New Orleans to catch a Saints game and having to stop off in Paradis to clean off the windshield so I could at least see. that is about 2/3 of the way to New Orleans btw...

It sucks and if you don't get them off your paint in a hurry or let them just dry on, they will eat into your paint and ruin the finish.

No they have not blown away yet. Got pelted by a whole bunch today! :x

My bike has been completely covered in bugs for months now. I can clean them all off, but within a day or two its covered up again.
