Just curious how much air pods, and a jet kit would affect my highway power. Is it very noticeable? I know the intakes and kits add power up top and I cruise around 9k rpms so that would be perfect. And would there be more of a gain with the stage 3 jet kit over the stage 1 if I dont buy an aftermarket exhaust? Debating getting a little more out of this thing before the summer time when I plan on getting somethin bigger. Appreciate it.

Also check for your bike, a ignition advancer from someone like Factory Pro. I put one on my 600r and you could feel the difference. Takes an easy 10min or less to put it on too and the higher the octain you run the better she will run.

Hmm, I work at tucker rocky which is a bike parts supplier, so I can get the air pods and jet kit cheap. We dont sell any exhausts for the 250 so thats why I dont plan on buying it. Factory Pro sounds familiar so hopefully we carry their lineup and I can snag that as well. No other modded 250's? Cmon people! =)

You dont really gain any power with modding a 250 , some guy with a 250 with exhaust , jet kit , and pods , only uped the hp to 29.5 from the stock 27hp , i think it had like 15 pounds of tq at the wheel. Your better off at modding the suspension , they make good track bikes.

I heard you can get a Muzzy or Yoshimura 2 into 1 exhaust system for the 250. Add that to a jet kit, and you'll get a little bit more power on the upper end of the power band. But I'm almost 95% sure that it's not the power surge you're looking for.

Otherwise, I doubt a jet kit, without more airflow on the exhaust side, would be very noticeable.

Good deal, just the answers I was looking for. I looked at the DynoJet box at my job and the sheet theyhad stock was 26hp, with just stage 1 made 27. So I was hoping that with stage 3, pods, and maybe slip-ons if I could find them might net me 5hp overall. 26+5 = almost a 20% gain so I figured that woudl be quite noticeable even if the actual hp gain was low. Looks like I'll just leave it stock until the spring, thanks everyone.
