Hi

I recently purchased the Thunder Adaptor and Hypercharger for the VN900 and have a question about the adaptor kit.
Is there meant to be a gasket between the adaptor and the throttle body?
There is not one supplied with the kit and I am not real keen on just relying on metal to metal contact. I am considering cutting a gasket or using a thin film of high temp silastic sealant.

I was also dissapointed with the quality of finish on the adaptor as there was quite a large scratch on the face of the adaptor and the threaded hole where the oil breather spigot screws in had to be retapped just to get the fitting to screw in. There was also a lot of really sharp edges left on the corners where they were machined and a little wet and dry fixed this up.

Overall the adaptor quality is a little dissapointing.

Cheers

I experienced the same no gasket issue when installing my Baron BAK. I just went ahead and installed as is and there doesn't seem to be any problem and it fits pretty snuggly. I'd say the airflow being perpendicular to the throttle mouth that there is minimal risk of outside air creeping in the adaptor/throttle body.
