Tire Size Question

158 Views 7 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Kawasakian
I'm looking for a set of tires and wheels for my 2007 Mule. 4x137mm My mule is stock height, no lift. Will Rear 27x11.00R14 and Front 27x9.00R14 fit? The tires are already mounted?

Thanks,
Mark

Only 1 way to find out ..... Try putting them on .....
Not sure what the stock sire sizes are, but if you increase the diameter, you will need a lot more power to get up to speed. By no way increase the width, and this will pinch the tires and the traction will suck. You are usually better sticking to original size tires, or getting different rims (if available) and go for a different size tire. The diameter to engine power ration is still an issue, even if it is a CV drive. You will maybe get more top end if the motor has the horsepower to pull it, but most of the time it ends up being a waste of time. The same issue applies to motorcycles. You are better off raising the suspension, but then you lose stability. You have to really think about you want to get out of the machine, and see if this one can be modified to reach that goal.
Just trying to outdo the others in the bunch ?

I'm not going for looks or trying to out doing the others. I am just looking for a near stock tire with good tread that is smoother on the road than the mega mayhems I have now and they need to be mounted already as I do not have a second set of rims. I want stock, but any tires and wheels even remotely close to me are few and far between. I have no real desire to lift my buggy...
I tried to discern from your post, but if you Google the front stock size tires, and add the phrase "Road Tread" you will probably find tires with a smoother tread.

Like this search try under Google Images (just so I could see the actual tires. :)

Yes sir. Thanks! I am trying to find something used and cheaper. I work for the county and don't make that big money, lol!
I understand that totally. By knowing what's out there new, as these tires have been sold for years, you'll be able to seaarch Craigslist, and other places with a better understanding. I am retired and do not have any discretionary spending. It must have a needed purpose. I get where you're at. :)
