Tire width may look cool, but on some bikes you are pinching the tire on a rim that is to narrow. if traction is what you are looking for go for a softer tire. Look for the major brands and then find a tire size and compound for your bike. Softer compounds offer lots of grip and wear out faster, where cruiser tires offer longer mileage and less grip. IF you have a difference of $$50.00/pair it would cost more than that to fix something...go with the compound that you need, but more important the correct size!
