So I just bought a new to me bike, 2002 EX500 (Silver/Black), and have grown quite fond of it in the one week I've had it. My first bike a ninja250 never did it for me, and it died only a month after I got it.

So now I'm in the middle of a dilemma of how much is too much in terms of upgrades, decals, and extras?

My helmet is the Scorpion EXO 400 Lilly, and I have just bought the matching mesh jacket, also purple and flowers. Originally I didn't want to be all flowers and butterflies and too girly, but I kind of want to make the bike my own (of course assuring any changes are easily removed for resale down the road).

So, ladies, what do you think, how much is too much? Seeing the bike is silver and black I think any decals will likely be silver/black lilies with maybe some dark purple (I need to check out what's available). I just ordered a set of purple clutch levers cause I broke my stock lever last week.

There doesn't seem to be many other options other than LED kits, but I don't know if that's too much or too crazy, seeing I'm a new rider.

looking forward to your thoughts, and would love to see any of your bikes that you've made your own.

Here's my girlfriend's bike. She wanted to put pink flame decals on it. I'm not a big fan of the stickers I've seen so I painted it for her. She loves it. She's a fan of the rough around the edges, cafe racer/streetfighter look.

There maybe some good looking, not too sanitized decals out there. Personally, I'm not a fan of the b'dazzled look but do what pleases you. It should reflect who you are.

Congrats on the new bike BTW

Congratulations on your new bike dear! Firstly, I would say nothing is too much. It is just your choice to get your bike to reflect who you are. When I bought my first bike, I had put pink stickers on it, bought a pink helmet and a pink armor! I recently bought these tank protectors with graphics of a devil girl on it! Appears cool to me but my husband went like - "Ohh, Do you want to make your bike look like a halloween gift or what!"

Your husband is a boob ;). At least that's what my wife often calls me when I say something stoopit like that :lol:.

I'm in the "hey, may not be my style for my bike but if it makes you happy then go for it!" Live and let live, ride and let ride, different strokes for....well, you get the idea.
