My bike comes with Bridgestones Exedra tyres. What do all of you think the safe mileage expectancy is with these? I don't accelerate hard, just cruise, and keep proper inflation pressure, halfway between the minimum and maximum in the owners manuel. I have Bridgestone Potenza 750's Z rated on my 2003 Cobra, they are the best tire for wear and performance, thanks, Doc.

Tires

Hi:
I never really liked Bridgestone. Ive got them on my Vulcan 800 also. They dont seem like the best rubber in the world and I just dont trust them for traction. What did you put on in place for your rear tire. I hear Metzler is a first rate tire. true or false.

Hey Doc,
I had the same tires on my 800B and they handled horribly after about 7000 miles. I noticed they still had good tread on them but the center of the tire had worn flat. I was driving along on a new road when I hit an unmarked construction pot hole and dented my back wheel. The guy replaced my wheel and tire and the handling problem dissapeared. I made it to 8000 miles. When you feel the handling on the rear tire go away get rid of it, you'll be glad you did.
