The stock fuel injectors in The Meanstreak are only good for delivering enough fuel for around 100hp at (a dependable) 80% duty cycle, in a normally aspirated engine. (this is about the tunable hp limit of Thunders Big Bore/camshaft kit, also)

Fuel injectors:
Type INP– 786
Injection timing 60° BTDC at each cylinder
Static injection quantity 273.1 ∼ 289.4 ml/min
Nozzle type × diameter Two spray type with 4 holes × 0.3 mm (0.012 in.)
Resistance 14.2 ∼ 14.8 Ω

With a big bore kit and the RIGHT camshafts (along with cyl. heads, etc..) we should be able to get around 110-115hp street-able, out of most any 95cu. Vtwin motorcycle engine. However, The stock fuel injectors in the Meanstreak would not be adequate (dependable) for fuel delivery above 100hp, or so. (normally aspirated engine). Right?

So, How does one go about finding if there are drop in replacements available, that will be up to the task? Where, to begin to look? The injectors from the Vulcan 2000???

When it does come time to tear into the engine, I dont want to limit myself to the available Thunder Mfg. camshafts. Let alone be limited by the amount of fuel that the stock injectors can dependably supply.

Thanks in advance for any help or advice to locating replacement fuel injectors that drop-in.

According to Injectors and Fuel Supply the injectors are maxxed out at ~100 hp (or a little less).

The MegaManual is the layman's bible on EFI whether you're using a MegaSquirt or not.

Most injectors will interchange pretty easily as long as you stick to the same type.
Thank you for this link. Very helpful with the online calculators.
