Does anyone know of a website that will give the value of a motorcycle. I was tinkering the idea of buying a used 250 and I had really no idea what they would go for, especially now with the new fancy '08's coming out. Thanks all......

Gotta go with KBB, too.
If you're considering a used 2-fiddy you should also prowl your local Craigslist to get a feel for what they are going for. B/c the new models are out (and they are sweet!), the older models' prices have dropped, but just how much it drops by depends on a multitude of things such as their condition/mileage/etc, and where you live (supply and demand). Check your Craigslist to see what sort of prices ppl are asking for them compared to Kelly Blue Book, and keep checking to see if they are actually selling at those prices.

If you find one, make an offer on it under the asking price and see what happens... doesnt' hurt ;)

I have been, and the strange thing is, there are NONE on there. last posting I found of one was 5 weeks ago. Ebay had one in Conn, but a little far if I wanted to pop over to check it out. Didn't feel like driving a few hours each way to look at it. Oh well, I'll keep my eyes open.

Interesting, though this time of year isn't the optimal time to find a large assortment of used bikes. That said, the owners that need to get rid of theirs will probably be more accomodating on their pricetag  Keep on looking at Craigslist though to see what the 250s out in L.I. are going for. In Seattle, I've scrolled through my local adds and have found a good assortment of '04-'07 250s in great condition with low mileage (under 2k) in the $2k range... but again, it depends on where you live and the supply and demand.

You might also consider seeing if any of your local dealers have new '07s that they are desparate to sell to make room for the new 08 models... they should have some good deals going on.

GL!

Nothing is worth a dime more than the guy who want's it most is willing to pay. Are you that guy? Watch and wait your deal will appear.
