Hey Bushoff! Don't you know this is a KAWASAKI forum!! We oughta kick your A**!

Seriously, congrats on the new machine. I looked long and hard at the VTX 1800 as second set of wheels next to my Vulcan. Which one did you get (Retro, etc.)?

I am opting to go after the VN2000 because:

- the big Vulcan has hydraulic lifters
- the big Vulcan is bigger (mo' cc) - bragging rights
- the big Vulcan has an uglier headlight, wait a minute, that's a negative!
- the big Vulcan takes 6 quart oil change, hmmm
- the big Vulcan has a single pin crank, the Honda 1800 has a dual pin crank (no potato-potato)
- the big Vulcan has fewer available accessories, darn, another negative

You can see I was on the fence. Enjoy your bike...and get the h*** off our website!

He found it in Southern Oregon. The dealer bought several and had one left over. Your right, It is no Nomad but at least he wont look like a dork riding with me now. The Vulcan 500 of his wifes was just a little small.

Congrats on the new bike Bro.

I wish I could go down with you to pick it up, but once again, work is getting in the way of fun. I'll see about comping if off and will let you know.

C'mon older brother, you don't really mean that do ya...he'll still look like a dork.

congrats on the new bike. If ya'll ever get north of that Washington border and closer to Canada, let me know, we should try to get together for a ride.

Dont necessarily have to be all the way north..I''d meet ya;ll halfway or sumptin in needed. My buddy and I who used to work at Pacificorp in Portland are planning a ride down to Portland this spring to see old friends. We'll have to keep our options open. Where bouts in oregon do you live?

already has 65k on it with few problems.

Hey spok,

we live in Cental Oregon. It is about 180 miles east of Portland. We live right on Highway 97, the main north south highway through eastern oregon and washington.

Congrats on your ride brush. You desert Oregonians get all the sun. Of course, it IS nice in Eugene today. Center, hope you're patient or bring extra gas for your bro. That 1800cc beast he bought has a range of about 120 miles.

I was wondering what kind of mileage he will get. O well who cares as long as you can be riding. It was nice over here today also. It got into the 50's and lots of bikes on the road. The only bummer is there is a lot of dust in the air because of past cinders on the road for traction. You can't keep a bike clean for about 10 minutes before it is covered.
