Does anyone have experience with the National Plexistar 3 windshield on the 1500 Classic? I have a 2003 1500 Classic and I found a Plexistar 3 for a good price.

Here is a picture of the Plexistar 3.

looks like a nice shield with good protection.
Does that mount to the handlebars and not the forks? I'm not sure I'd like a shield that was bar mounted. It seems like the fork mounted would be more stable and you wouldn't have every gust of wind trying to move your handlebars (at least as much)

This type of shield has 2 mounts at the handlebar and 2 mounts on the forks, so it is a little of both.
Where in Southern PA?
I have two, and one is mounted on my KZ550. It's a great 4 point mount windshield with no buffeting up to 93 mph, and good lower weather protection with integral lowers.

Hi - I am located near where route 83 crosses into MD. I have been up in your area before however and I know it is nice country. I am thinking about a PA trip next summer - maybe across route 6. I read an article about a route 6 trip in one of the cycle magazines.

Route 6 is a great ride, lots of nice scenery and some good places to stop, i.e. the PA Grand Canyon. There are several of us central PA riders who will be putting together a ride next summer, not sure when or where yet, but keep watching this forum and I'm sure you will see lots of chatter about it. You are welcome to join us.
