Anyone here with a Vulcan 500 LTD with floorboards? I can't seem to find any that are made for the 500 there seem to be universal type ones. We are going to look at a couple 500's and my fiance would like floorboards.

IF you can find the proverbial "hens teeth", the floorboards made for the VN750, they fit our 500 mount, but are a little loose, as they are slightly smaller where they go into the mount, and use a larger hole that makes them wobble. I git a cheap pair of "whotheHellmedethese" ones on ebay that "look" like Kuryakyn but aren't Had to put some tubing inside to make the mounting pin hold them straight. Will post mod (Mod? 3 minutes??) son.

If you google DIY floorboards, there's a guy that makes them out of aircraft aluminum. His are specifically for VN750s, but take a look at them, they may work on a 500. His bolt onto the foot pegs once you remove the rubber. I took a look and made some based on what he had, but I made mine more narrow/longer and out of 1/4" plate steele. He also shows a trick on making highway pegs that will work very well on Vulcans because of the two bolts on either side of the fram surrounding the radiator. Take a gander and see if they will work on your fiance's ride.
