Vulcan 650 S ABS - OEM Light Bar Installation Question: I have installed all the necessary parts provided by both the LED Light Bar Kit (99994-0511) and the Relay Kit(99994-0510). I don't know how to get power to the LED Light Bar? Was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

Normally, when using a relay to power auxiliary lighting, power for the light itself comes directly from the battery with a fuse in the circuit. We in the super sport touring world get really fancy with lighting controls and I do this stuff for a living so.....

Did you install an on/off switch? How about a light dimmer? Where did you pick up the trigger power for the relay?

Have you installed the light bar kit and relay kit yet ?
The Power for the Light Bar is fed from a Male & Female plug (A) attached to the Clock wiring loom just below the clocks as shown in the first picture.

Below picture shows the connection on the light bar sub loom that plug into the Accessory connections above (A)
Please be aware NO Accessories will be powered until the Relay kit is installed !!

Hi I've not fitted it yet but found some YouTube videos of the fitting of the DC power and worked it out from there. I will be doing it this week. Thanks for the tips though.

This was so helpful - I was installing the light bar, and the last instruction given is to tie the dangling connector off and leave it - there is NO instruction telling you how or where to hook it up so that it will actually function! I installed the relay and 12V power outlet a few months ago, and the power outlet instructions tell you where to find and uncover the connector. But it is not in the same place as the one used for the light bar. So off to the internet I go - and found this. Thanks to Grennibest (post #4) - was straight forward after that.

Other than the poor instructions (typical for motorcycle accessories in general in my experience) I found the kit to be well engineered, and it looks great, like it belonged there in the first place! It is my wife's bike, and she is very happy with the lights.
