I'm about to fit a GPZ550 head to a 1980 KZ550LTD because of valve wear issues with the original head, and because I am looking for an increase in power.
Before I spend a day swapping things over and finding I have actually got standard cams again, can anyone please tell me what markings there might be on the GPZ550 camshafts which are used to denote them as GPZ550's, as opposed to being GT550 or Z/KZ550.
Looking at them, the intake and exhaust cams both have capital letters 'B' and 'F' stamped on them, and close to the sprocket they also have 'R2' cast into them. Other than that I can't find anything else to identify them with.

Edit - The inlet ports of the GPZ550 head assembly are 25mm diameter. That makes me suspicious because I have read of some GPZ550's having larger inlet tracts (Probably later models with 28mm dia ?)

Cheers
Chris
