Good morning,
When I get the oppurtunity I will be getting a klx300sm. I test rode one and thought it was a lot of fun.
I am wondering if anyone has kitted there 300sm (temporarily) with knobby or universal tires ? I think moderate dirt riding will overwhelm street tires quickly. Really not a big deal to swap wheels for a day or 2 in the dirt.
Anyone been there , done that ?

Since you want to do dirt, you might be happier with the dualsport as it's designed to do both without changing anything. I only ride asphalt so the SM with street tires fits my use. Either way they're both really good bikes. I love mine. 300 is the sweet spot.
