I have been restoring a 1976 KH125A1 and although the engine is rebuilt & running, I didnt bother with a new piston at the time as I wanted to be sure the new crank seals fixed the main problems.

The bore had been mildly seized in the past, but I just cleaned it all up with sand paper & a file, and put it back together, so now I know the engine is good at the bottom end I will be reboring and fitting a new piston & rings.

I have got hold of a 0.5mm oversize piston kit, and wanted to check what clearance I should be asking for when I get the barrel rebored, as it has been years since I had anything to do with a bike with a cast liner!

So any suggestions form your years of wisdom with the old 2 stroke KH's?
