All sentimental value aside, how much is your bike worth now? How much have you personally spent on it?

I was just looking at a few sites and the NADA Guide popped up.

KBB Trade-in: $965
KBB Retail: $1500
Average: $1232.50

NADA Low: $761
NADA High: $990

Paid: $600
Put in: ~$750 - 800 (plus too many man hours to count :)
Total: $1350 - 1400

I like the KBB values better in this case for obvious reasons...

My ZX-9Rs book is about $6,800 ish I believe. I have a $700 exhuast on it, a $100 air filter, about $75 worth of ground effects, $80 windshield, $50 mirror removal kit, $70 billet handle bar mirror, and my gear is about $600 worth since it matches my bike its part of it :p.

So thats almost $8,500 at the moment.

I paid $500 for mine, and put in about $250-300 in parts (to fix it)... not too bad. I believe KBB more than that nada.

It's not what the books say but what the buyer spends that determines a bike's real value. That's why I just use Ebay as a pricing guide to see what people are actually giving for a certain model in different parts of the US.

To have my kids and my bikes with me in a loving environment away from the "Nagging Thing": priceless
