Just wondering why you chose to ride motorcycles, is it a family thing, or its what you always wanted to do, friends had them, etc!!!!!!!!!

I just want to get to know you all a little better.

THANKYOU

Back when I was a teenager, I had friends who had bikes. We'd all get out and take turns on each others bikes, not really knowing what I was doing, or wearing anything close to enough protective gear, I Loved it. 20 plus years later, most of my good friends ride or have ridden and I got the itch again and after several "conversations" with my wife, I made the choice. 4500 miles since April and loving every minute of it!

Its the freedom, the feel, the time to yourself, an escape, an adventure and mostly its Fun!

Family thing. My dad started riding young. In fact he proposed to my mom while she was on the back of his bike. She said they ended up in the ditch when she said yes. Though they were still on two wheels, he just went in the ditch, did not drop it. He had bikes all my life, I started out on a dirt bike at 12 or 13, so long ago don’t remember.

Hm... well I have ridden a bicycle most of my life. Had an interest in motorcycles, but the weather of the state I grew up in prohibited me from pursuing it much. Since I moved to Arizona with a small amount of money to invest into transportation I chose the most economical choice I could think of. It's my only form of transportation currently, and a lot of fun as well...

I think that answers the question...

...5200 miles and counting.

I started liking motorcycles in 1973 when I went to the Canadian National Exhibition and Honda was there. It has been love ever since.

My father and my uncle rode bikes for a long time. My Dad rode until 1957. My uncle rode until 1988 (VT250F). I think it is in my blood.

I ride for the freedom of the open road, twisties, long rides, challenge myself, learn new things and meet people. I had friends that rode bikes (4 of us) in high school and university.

Now it is an escape mechanism from my soon-to-be ex-wife. It's a good transition to avoid the same situation as Curt.

My mom and dad used to ride Harleys back in the day. My grandpa had all kinds of bikes all the way up to full-dress Harleys and Hondas.

I am the first in the family to chose a sport bike, and I will be as my brother wants a Harley as well.

I love riding because it is fun, and you can be riding and end up joining a group for a ride and 200 miles later, turn around and go back home when you want.

Besides, chicks dig bikes. :D

I took a trip to France and stayed with a family and everywhere my host brother and I went we took his moped. I instantly fell in love with 2 wheels and no one, not even the constant rants and raves of my mother, could stop me from buying my motorcycles :)

Oh yeah, and I like to do anything that can get me killed or worse, hehe.

My uncles rode when I was little, and my dad had a motorcycle shop in CA back in the day, so I guess it is just in my blood. I love to ride, streetbikes, dirtbikes, quads anything that I am just out in the open on. I wanted to get into racing when I was younger, but didn't have the money or the backing I needed from my family to do it.. So here I am.. I own a sportbike and love to go carving through the twisties.. Soon I'll buy some leathers and start doing track days here so I can feel like I am racing..

My dad had a couple of Harley knuckles back when he was in his late teens--I think they were 1947 and 1948 models. He could kick himself now that he didn't hang onto them. He takes such perfect care of his vehicles that they would be in mint condition.

When I was 16, my dad bought a couple of dirt bikes, and my brother and I rode them all the time. Dad used to take us to a place outside of town where there was a riding course. I was hooked from that moment on; I guess it's in my blood. :)

I had a bike when I was in my late 20s (20+ years ago); my husband sold it without asking me when we split up. It's taken me all this time to finally get another bike. I just bought a Vulcan 800A and absolutely love it. It feels so great to be back on a bike again. I won't stop riding now until I'm too old to hang onto the handlebars and too blind to see where I'm going. :D

I started riding with my dad when I was 6 years old. I've always had a fascination with bikes and motorcycles. When I turned 21 in '98, I went out and got my motorcycle permit and my first bike, a '91 Honda XR250L. Been riding ever since.

I still go riding with my dad, but I'm on my own bike now  .

I actually rode on the back of his bike last year when he picked me up when I droped mine off to get serviced. Funniest looking pair on a bike. Me, with my Kawasaki Jacket, Full face helmet, gloves and boots. Him with his leather vest, skull cap, and boots. Both of us sitting on an 1100 Honda Shadow A.C.E.. Tell ya, I'll never ride on the back of that again

reason to ride

started out as a family thing. dad got me started on three wheelers and snowmobiles at age 5, moved on to dirt bikes around age 14 and street bikes as soon as i turned 16. now he rides maybe 1000 miles a year, compared to my, hopefully, 10000 for this year. now, it is an obsession, can't wait till the kids are older and i can ride all the time !!!!

Hi,

From me, learned to ride motorcycle when I was 6 years old... 24 years ago I thought that motorcycles were much more atractive than other kids toys...

I took advantage from a family member that had a mopped at the time and since then i never stopped...

Still today I think that riding motorcycle is still more attractive than other adults toys (with clothes... of course).

Cheers!
