why the jets are different?

I ve read several times that bikes must have different jet sizes in the same bike..

Like 130 for cilinders 1 and 4 and

135 for 2 and 3,...

What is the reason for that?

most bikes ive seen here has like one single size for jets in all cilinders.. but i think that is not correct (because of what i read)..
but i cant explain why is not correct.. .. and why bikes should have diferent sizes on cilinders 2 &3 than 1 and 4

can someone explain me why is that?

thaanks!

Why are jets different? Well there's the part about them having wings!!! OH! You meant.... (chuckle)
Cylinder temperatures are going to be higher in the two center cylinders, so the extra fuel helps prevent detonation?

Just a guess.
I've never seen a bike with different jets like you describe. Are you sure you're not looking at the different sizes in like the pilot jet and the main jet?
Hey S7, it would help if you put your bike in your signature. Look down.
as a general question, not bike specific. I'm pretty sure Rich has it right. I have rebuilt carbs for older bikes with two size main jets. larger in the middle two.

I think the carbs for my 11 have different size jets, I'd have to take them apart again to find out.
If you found different sizes in a parallel twin they should be the same size.

Nope , on the same line.. according to my mech, you can tell if the last owner took it to the right shop if the carburator has this way alternated jets.. like 1 -23- 4.

but he didnt give me any reason. so im just curious..

have no clue =P
