Fellas,

Going to use some x-mas money to buy some bags. I've been looking for some time. I think I have resolved to the Willie and Max Fleetside Studded SB727.

I know these bags are not leather, but I like the look. What are the pros and cons of not having leather? Anybody have Willie and Max? What has been your experience with the quality?

I know you get what you pay for and I found these for $114.13 in PA at Gforcecycles.com.

Thanks in Advance. BH;)

Saddle bags

I dont know if the bags Ive seen were Willie & Max, but ive seen some of the synthetic bags sag and look really nasty. You could buy real leather, which is heavy leather, on ebay for the price of the synthetic. They may not have a name but they stand up a lot better than synthetic. I bought Leatherlyke bags for mine because I wanted to be able to lock them. They look just like leather, are hard shell and removeable. But they are expensive. Buy them once and forget them.

I agree, LeatherLyke is my first choice. But as you said they are $$. I am looking for some inexpensive bags that look decent. I will have to save my pennies for the LeatherLyke.

Thanks. BH

Hey there Boss!I've got Willie and Max saddle bags(the slant style)and also a sissy bar bag that i've had now for 4 yrs. Bags still look good but the buckles are a little bit tarnisted but with a little cleaning they would shine again. Go Willie and Max,you're be happy! See ys, Kenny in North Carolina.......

Boss Hawg.I would agree,I've got the Willie and Max slant bags and tool pouch that mount on the forks. They have held up great and been wet many times, still look great.I would make sure to get the support brackets and that should keep them from sagging.Would buy the again. Ride On.

i am going to have to agree with most of the guys and say "Yes" to willie and max. personally, i think the synthetic material holds up better and retains a nice look with minimal maintainence, as opposed to leather. and that's just my $0.02
