I'm new to the sited and bikes, however I know my way around cars. I have a question regarding a 84 zn 700. over the winter I took of the carbs and air box because I was changing the fender. When I took off the carbs i left the the throttle cable connected. Yesterday I stared I up (with no airbox). its runing good but it is idiling at about 5,000 rpm. I tried adusting the idle but it did nothing. The cable is not sticking. I'm out of ideas and any help will be appriciated. Thanks

I learned this the hard way.

On my Ninja 750 - the air filter and air box have to be installed and closed - to allow proper vacuum control to idle.

Try that first

WHILE OU CAN

Go ahead and lube your throttle cables, since you can get to them so easy...
