I'm planning to do a few mods to my 09 ZX6R this winter and have been reading about the Healtech X-TRE. As I understand it this tricks the bike's ECU into thinking it is in 4th, 5th, or 6th gear (whichever is set by the user) which allows it to advance the timing and fully open the butterflys. Is there any potential for this unit to cause damage to the engine or other parts of the bike? Also, does having the butterfly valve open all the time, does it affect the backpressure to the engine and thus the midrange power?

As a side note. Would a Speedo healer on a stock bike provide any benefit?
