Yamaha FZ6 or FZ6R

I realize the fact that I am asking this on a Kawasaki forum but we'll see how it goes. If you were going to buy one, which one would it be and why? To me its a hard decision but I'd say the FZ6R would take the cake, probably because of the fairing. Your thoughts?
I bought my FZ6R about a month ago. I grew up riding motocross bikes, but this is my 1st street bike. I don't have anything to compare it to other than the bike I rode in my msf class, which was a Honda 250, cruiser. I've been very impressed with the comfortable seating position, silky engine, agile handling, wind protection/fairing, and the price was reasonable. Granted, from research I did, it does not have the moxy of the FZ6 (i.e. frame, suspension, engine), but I felt it was more suited for a beginner than the FZ6.

I also considered the '09 Ninja 650r, Aprilia Shiver, BMW F800ST, Honda VFR800. The 650r felt very comfy to sit on, but I preferred the inline 4. The Shiver did not offer much wind protection, the BMW was expensive, and I felt the VFR was just more bike than I wanted to bite off and chew as a beginner.

So far I love the bike, but I've not taken any extended trips on it yet either.

As to why I'm on this forum...I've found this forum to be one of the most informative out there, on many different topics. I appreciate the years of riding experience, stories, do's and dont's, etc... that are shared on this forum.
