I need guidance. I just bought a crash kit for my Z and was curious to know which frame slider goes on which side. The bar ends and tail-end are no brainers, but i have two different styled engine mount sliders.

I'm sure i could figure it out when i went to lookin', but i want to know before hand.

Picture of the sliders is attached....one has a belled end and the other has a smaller tapered end. Which is driver/passenger side?? Of course....all help is appreciated.

I'm gonna guess that you're riding a 2nd Gen Z1000 (07/08)? If so, put the mount that has the tapered end on the left side because that will make the spool stick out more. If you're wondering why, go behind your bike and look at the engine...yup, the engine is offset to the right by about 18mm!

well, that would have been something we needed to know then...
i'll go look at mine real quick.
well, the odd ball longer one should go on the left side.
at least from what mine indicate. remember mine are custon built.

also remember to only do one side at a time.
DO NOT REMOVE BOTH BOLTS...unless you support the engine in someway.
those bolts hold the engine in a position and will give you hell in pulling the engine back in place.
