I know that is a common problem with ZX7's. You know what they say about kawi's: If they're not making noise, they're not running. The work involved kinda depends on your skill level when it comes down to mecaninal things. If you haven't worked on your bike by yourself then I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself, but if you have some know-how and a shop manual then it shouldn't be too big of job. It all depends on what you feel comfortable doing.
