i was wondering on a zx6rr the little rear seat thing is that a cover is there a seat under it. or do you have to buy one. any info. thanks

Hi Utahbullet!

I just got a 2003 ZX6RR and I can tell you that the green cowling is a cover, under it is a small set of tools and a place to store other small stuff like the owner's manual. The passenger seat is separate and replaces the green cowling when you have a passenger.

so when you buy the bike they give you the seat?

I believe so! I bought my bike used, so I'm not sure if the original owner bought the seat or the cowling or he got both when he purchased the bike new. He gave me the impresion that he got both when he bought the bike.

Maybe someone else knows for sure!

You get the seat with the bike, as well as the cowling. Have fun on the bike, corners just seem to more fun with the slipper clutch.

I just picked up my zx6r yesterday, and yes they do provide both Seat and Cowl when you buy it new.
