hello all im interested in getting a 2005 zzr600 but have have heard the news that this is just a body restyling of an older zx6e model...if so will aftermarket pipes for a zx6e fit on to a zzr600 with no modifications? and if so which specific yr of zx6e would i need to shop for? thanx in advanced!

Erm well the zzr600 was first introduced in 1990 over here as a completely new model sharing only a small number of parts with the older gpx/gpz600, the bike was then give a face lift and 'ram air' was included from 1993/4.
The early model was known as the zzr600d and that became zzr600e which is what we still have today.

The 05 ZZR600 is a zx600-j4, it is the same as an 02 ZX6R with only a few minor differences. Pipes for the 02 zx6r will fit without modification.

yagiska's right. The 2005 ZZR600 is totally different than the 04. The 04 is the old ZX-6E and the 05 is basically the 00-02 ZX-6R.
