Thought it was time we had a topic thread for the boys on the Drifters.

Welcome guys, sorry we didn't do this earlier.

Drifter owners seem to be a little more independent than other owners.

Some call us loners, but we know that we share a rare taste in a beautiful bike.

Love 'em or hate 'em, you can't ignore those bold fenders and sexy lines.

Drifters stand tall.

when i go riding with the harley guys, my drifter is the loudest. im thinking about pulling the baffles to see how loud it really is. i really love this bike. the balance i so awesome. it feels so much lighter then my 600cc honda, yet it is alot heavier. i know the 99s are limited production - mine is number 186 of 1999 btw - are the newer models the same way? did it come with the cert. of ownership and the little drifter key ring and video tape?

I just got my 2006 Drifter 800 in December and all I got was a thank you. It did not come with any sort of certificate nor key ring nor video. Now I feel jipped.

Ditto on the color comment from zuzuman... I dig that red with the black. I wish mine had come with a color option. My buddy who paints cars told me to leave it in silver and black. He is a big Raiders fan and thinks it is a Raider Bike. Anyway, Great looking ride. I dig that seat, too!

I have seen and heard Okies bike (believe me you hear it). It is pretty **** sweet. Without his help I would not be riding. He sold me his old Ltd 1000 to learn on, I believe it was an 80 or 81, he would know. I am going to have him make me a sissy bar like the one he made for his drifter. Lets hear it for Okie!

i wonder if the 2005 800 solo seat would fit a 99 1500.

well, i got some new shoes for my bike back in dec. and finally got around to attempt to put them on. after 3 days of work and $60 later i got the front one done. im gona make an appt. for an oil change/tune up in the next few weeks and have the back one put on. what a pain. i also took the saddle bags off and man does it look sweet.

Sorry to post twice...

But has anybody on here with a drifter removed their stock baffles... I want some extra sound but I dont want to splurge for a new exhaust. Not yet anyway. If they did is there a how to on here anywhere... simple instructions?
Just wanna read up on it before ripping my pipe apart

thanks, Ken

well, i have the stock exhaust sitting in my garage. i can take a look and see how they come out. i have the Sampson Slasher pipes on right now but they are a 2 piece pipe and the back half is starting to turn gold. i really dont like the look any way so i might just put some HK or V&H pipes on it.
