Thanks, dude. I just found them too. 05-0092. I was hoping to get 'em locally as I don't wanna pay $5 to ship a $3 bulb! ;-)

 

You can try a Suzuki dealer. A friend of mine has the C50 and has the exact same bulb in her lightbar. The local dealer had them in stock, I believe hers was a 25watt though.

 

I went to my kaw/suzi/star dealer and the didn't have them either.

Heck with it. Scootworks is only charging $3.50 so I'll get a pair of 'em while I'm at it.

 

I have the same problem with my CW lightbar on my '06 900 LT. Thus far I've replaced both bulbs twice. I've been considering mounting different lights on the CW mounts, but I'm curious if anyone has been able to adapt the existing lights to accept a halogen or LED bulb??

Try these J&P Cycles® Hi-Intensity HalogenSealed Beams for 1968-2009 Spotlights. Had the CWI lightbar on my 900LT. I removed the light & reflector from the bucket, rewired a little (new spade connectors) and put the 35 watt version in. Much brighter light, far greater range and very easy to do.

I've done the same thing with my Nomad. CWI light bar, gutted the buckets and installed the 50 watt version.

I don't know if the alternator on the 900 can handle the 50's, and you should NOT use the aux power connector in the headlight bucket, if you were to choose them.

 

The bulb problems with the CW 02-021 light bars was such a big problem that the manufacturer has been offering free replacement sealed beam halogen units (I know cuz I have got them). Get in touch with the vendor you bought the light bar from to see if they can sort out replacements.

 

I checked the website for JP Cycles, and unfortunately this 4-1/2" halogen replacement is no longer available from JP. Does anyone have any other sources they can suggest?

I don't know if the alternator on the 900 can handle the 50's, and you should NOT use the aux power connector in the headlight bucket, if you were to choose them.

It should be perfectly fine to run two 50 watt spots on the accessory circuit in the headlamp bucket. This will pull 8.3 amps on this 10 amp circuit. (Just slightly over 80% constant service.) Remember, though, that this circuit is "always on" so you are going to have to use a switch (only if your memory is perfect) or a relay.

HOWEVER, do not run anything else on this circuit and DO NOT put a larger fuse in if it blows. Best case is to run a separate circuit from the battery using appropriate sized wiring (and fuse).

The 900 electrical system can handle this load but I sure wouldn't idle in heavy traffic with them on for long.
